Walking the Path is an eight month program beginning January 31, 2009 designed to deepen your personal meditative path. Instructions will be tailored to the needs and interests of individual participants and group topics will address the cultivation of the Eight Fold Path

This program consists of an initial eight month commitment to deepen meditation and develop skillful relationships with the teacher & dedicated community members. It is open to all levels of experience, from beginning meditators who seek support in establishing a daily practice, to advanced practitioners who would benefit by personal instruction. Registration is limited to maintain a workable group size.
Participants should be willing to:
- Establish a daily-ish meditation practice.
- Participate in one monthly day long meditation program and group meeting. Group meetings will take place on Saturday afternoons after the day of meditation 4:00-6:00pm in Mt. View and involve dialog with the teacher, sharing with participants, and spiritual inquiry.
- Meet with the teacher for an individual consultation 3-4 times during the term.
- Attend one silent retreat, if possible, with Shaila Catherine. Our scheduled retreats include:
- February 14-16, Nonresidential Beginner’s Intensive in Menlo Park
- May 14-17, Insight Meditation, Sequoia Retreat Center in Ben Lomond
- July 2-9, Concentration and Insight at Vajrapani in Ben Lomond
- Periodically engage in reading or reflective assignments.
